Which one do you like the best?I’ll tell you my preferences once you tell me yours. :) I always love playing around with hair.  The way your character styles themself is extremely indicative of their personality & history.  I find hairstyles & cuts can be greatly undervalued in the character design process — too many artists tend to stick with the same kinda styles, putting more effort into the attire. There’s a lot to it, though.  Long, medium or short?  Layered or non-layered? If layered, how many? Are we after lots of texture or minimal texture?  Clean lines or gentle curves?  Assymetrical?  Graduated?  Coloured? Streaked?  Braids?  Dreads? Curls?  Crimped?  Spiked? Bangs/fringes?  Done up or let down?  Any hair ornaments?  Chic? Modern? Eclectic? Classic? Feminine/masculine? High maintenance? Carefree? Messy? Sleek? And then you have to consider which areas of the face you want to highlight.  Do you want to draw attention to the cheekbones, or the eyes, or the lips?  Do you want it to be swept off the forehead?  Is your character confident, or enigmatic, or seductive, or coy, or shy? There’s just so much to be told through the hair alone. That’s probably why I love drawing it so much. :D
